The Local was created at the beginning of the 2022 calendar year, with Co-Owners Raul Lopez and Chris Osborne wanting to shake up the Petaluma Food and Wine Industry. By adapting a sustainable infrastructure, our business delivers a farm to table menu designed around specialized goods reflecting each environmental season. Our goal is to continue to support local farms and excite our customers with a burst of flavor in every bite.

Raul Lopez graduated with a culinary degree from the California Culinary Academy in 2013, propelling himself into the world of fine dining. He lended his talents at two Michelin starred Restaurants; Californios and Lazy Bear, in the heart of San Francisco, as well as; San Pellegrino Top 50 Restaurant Quintonil in Mexico City. By excelling in one of the most competitive food industries in the world, he was able to deploy diverse techniques and flavors retained from his travels in Asia, Europe, and both North and South America. With ten years of experience and a diverse culinary repertoire.

Chris Osborne has been serving Sonoma County communities for over a decade as an innovative business developer and a mixologist with a unique flare. With an expertise in restaurant business management, Chris has transformed the industry, implementing creative marketing strategies and generating success for every business he manages. He’s a Co-founder of a restaurant consulting company; contributing to multinational brands like Diageo, Constellation Brands, Bacardi, and Heineken. His impact spans across the Bay Area, from San Francisco to Santa Rosa. Connecting to his clients through his passion and devotion to the development of the North Bay food and wine industry.
